I had two lessons with different forms. One class was dedicated for vocabulary revision through English examination speaking tasks. I'm very satisfied with the class as students were obedient, they did the tasks, asked questions.

The second class made me rather upset. At the class the text book Upstream Upper-intermediate was being used. We did listening tasks, or "we" rather tried, for there are a few pupils who usually make noise and no one can hear anything. I succeeded to calm them down just for a few minutes... The interesting and sad thing is that they do understand what they do but they have no intentions to collaborate (The latter is not my personal assumption. It is what one of the pupils admitted.).

Today was a peaceful, lovely day. Surprisingly, all of the students were listening to whatever I said. We revised vocabulary doing reading and speaking tasks.

24 - 25 th January, 2011

Nothing important or notable happened during these two days. On Tuesday we had Use of English revision classes. Students were working silently and obediently.

Today must have been the most successful day as everything seemed to be fluent... Although, students were not always listening carefully, we managed to do all the planned tasks .

20 January, 2011

Things seem to get better and better... I had two lessons today and they were rather fluent. Students are not so much interested in learning, though. I made a short presentation with pictures of extraordinary or even crazy looking houses which they did like. We talked about their houses. Students tried to imagine their own unique houses. The second class was dedicated for grammar. Thus it was not that exciting. Nevertheless, students were doing exercises obediently.

Today I had only one class as students had a test. It was much better than the ones I had before. It was very pleasant to watch learners silently doing a task. They seem to be already listening... The bad thing is that I still don't remember some of their names. Thus, this causes some quick check problems.

3 - 4 lessons

Today I had two lessons. The First one was not a GREAT success. IT seemed not fluent enough. I think I've got some class management issues. Nevertheless, thanks to teacher (she gave me some tips), the second lesson was fluent and coherent. I still need to work on my time management during a lesson.

14th January, 2011

Today was my first "teaching" day.I was better than I expected and worse than it could have been... But I sometimes look for perfection which might not exist in some thing.. I was a bit scared of what it would have been like.
Pupils were lovely. I'm working with the 11th form students. They are very polite and respectful.
The lessons (I had two (1, 2) with the same group of students) were rather smooth. I happened to raise my voice only when they were discussing in pairs or groups, so that we could continue with another task.
